Role Description The Overseas Student Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi. The counselor will engage with prospective students and their families, conduct one-on-one counseling sessions, and provide clear information about courses, universities, and study destinations. Daily responsibilities include assessing academic profiles, guiding individuals on suitable study options, explaining admission and visa processes, and supporting them throughout applications and documentation.

The role involves responding to inquiries via in-person meetings, phone, email, and digital channels, maintaining accurate records of interactions, and following up to ensure timely progress.



The counselor will also participate in education fairs, seminars, and promotional activities, while collaborating with internal teams to deliver a professional and supportive experience to every learner.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess solid Student Counseling skills, with the ability to understand individual aspirations and provide tailored guidance.

Candidates should possess Career Counseling skills to help learners explore suitable academic paths and future career opportunities.

Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including transparent verbal and written communication and active listening.

Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and a commitment to high-quality support.

Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Education systems and international study pathways across key destination countries.

Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Management, or a related field are preferred.

Prior experience in overseas education consulting or academic counseling is an advantage.

Ability to work collaboratively with a team, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and use common office and CRM software effectively.
