Rumango is looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Architect / Lead Developer to design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions for enterprise banking applications. If you have a strong background in Java technologies, microservices, and the banking domain, we'd love to connect with you.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect and develop scalable, resilient, and secure backend systems for banking applications.
- Design and implement Microservices-based architectures and RESTful APIs.
- Drive architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with business, product, and cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, availability, and reliability.
- Mentor development teams and enforce coding standards and technical governance.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and DevOps best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize system performance.
- Work closely with data and AI teams to enable intelligent banking capabilities.

Required Skills





- 15+ years of experience in Java backend development.

- Strong expertise in
- Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate

- Microservices Architecture
- RESTful APIs and Distributed Systems
- System Design, Scalability, Security, and High Availability
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL, and database performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka (or similar messaging platforms), and CI/CD tools.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Experience integrating AI/ML-based services is an added advantage.

Domain Expertise Candidates should have hands-on experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain, including:
- Core Banking Systems
- Loans, Deposits, and Payments
- Regulatory Compliance (KYC, AML)
