Role Description The Online MBA Admission Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The counsellor will engage with prospective MBA candidates via phone, email, messaging platforms, and in-person sessions to understand their academic and career goals, explain program offerings, and guide them through the admissions process.

Daily responsibilities include managing inbound and outbound inquiries, conducting structured counselling sessions, qualifying and nurturing leads, and supporting candidates with documentation, application forms, and deadlines. The role also involves collaborating with institutional partners, maintaining accurate records in CRM or admissions systems,



and meeting enrollment and conversion targets. The counsellor will contribute feedback on student trends to inform marketing and outreach strategies, while ensuring a professional, ethical, and student-centric counselling experience.

Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal communication and general communication skills to counsel diverse prospective students effectively.
- Customer service skills to handle queries, resolve concerns, and maintain a supportive, student-focused approach.
- Sales skills to qualify leads, manage follow-ups, and achieve enrollment and conversion targets.
- Understanding of the education domain, particularly MBA and higher education programs, to provide accurate guidance.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in business, marketing, psychology, or education is an advantage.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications, CRM tools, and online communication platforms.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Kolkata Area, manage multiple inquiries, and prioritize tasks in a quick-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of regional languages (e.g., Bengali, Hindi) is highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in admissions counselling, education consulting, or inside sales is preferred but not mandatory.
