Position 1 - Secondary Engineer Electrical

Business Unit: Power Business Unit (PBU)
Work Location: Chennai

Experience: 8 to 15 Years
Qualification: Bachelors / Diploma - Degree in Electrical Engineering with professional certifications/ accreditations.

Job Description:

- Prepare Control, Protection, Metering and Monitoring systems design meeting quality and schedule requirements.
- Adhere to established design guidelines and procedures.
- Analyze design issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform design analysis and calculations according to project requirements.
- Determine construction cost and material estimates based on the designs.




- Review project plan and determine the design feasibilities and constraints.
- Use latest software and technologies to develop effective designs.
- Maintain accurate design files for reference purposes.
- Consider health, safety and environmental requirements when developing the designs.
- Manage design projects within allotted timelines and MHs.
- Stay abreast with the latest developments with relevant design fields.
- Ensure compliance with QMS requirements.
- Provide assistance to senior design team members.

Skills Required:

- Good working knowledge on design of control, protection, metering, and monitoring systems for LV/ MV/ HV/ EHV substations from concept design to construction drawings. Working knowledge on T&D; functions w.r.t construction in coordination with other engineering disciplines.
- Working knowledge on control, protection, metering, and monitoring systems pertaining to control & protection schemes, CT/ PT calculations, relay setting calculations etc.
- Strong Knowledge of SAS system, IED relays, IEC61850, and interface with SCADA and communication
- Familiar with relevant codes & standards International electro-technical commission (IEC), IEEE, BS (British Standards), Regional Standards, Quality and Metrology Organization (SASO), SEC standards etc.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of design software DIGSI, PCM600, MICOM AGILE, Envista, SEL, Building Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD etc.
- Be passionate about protection systems and the power environment. Be a creative leader in design and project management.



Have excellent technical skills and be able to mentor staff in their own development and the development of projects.
- Good communication skills, both in presentation and documentation with a good command over English

Position 2 - Secondary Designer

Business Unit: Power Business Unit (PBU)
Work Location: Chennai

Experience: 8 to 15 Years

Job Summary:

DAR Engineering is seeking an experienced Designer to lead and manage the design and execution of LV/MV/HV/EHV substation projects within the T&D; sector. The role involves technical leadership, project management, tender support, multidisciplinary coordination, and ensuring quality compliance across all design stages from concept to IFC.

Job Description:

- Draft the drawings meeting drafting standards, quality and schedule requirements.
- Adhere to established drafting guidelines and procedures.
- Use the latest drafting tools and techniques to develop effective drawings.
- Execute drafting of the projects within allotted timelines and MHs.
- Stay abreast with the latest developments with relevant drafting fields.
- Comply relevant QMS drafting requirements.
- Provide assistance to senior design team members.

Skills Requirements:

- Ability to draw projects as per the requirement in line with given instructions.
- Perform the required design tasks within the allocated time respecting the deadline with quality output.
- Be familiar with applicable codes & standards.
- Strong working knowledge of Micro station/ Building Designer/AutoCAD and 3D drafting tools.
- Full knowledge of project filing system and working knowledge on document management system.
- Be passionate about drafting.
- Good communication skills, both in presentation and documentation with command in English. Acquaintance to Arabic would be an advantage.
