People & Careers Nexen Tire Extends European Leadership Restructure Published: August 4, 2026 Author: James Lockwood Nexen Tire has extended its European management restructure with new appointments covering Germany, Poland, France and Spain. The changes add country-level leadership to the manufacturer’s wider regional sales structure as it seeks closer coordination with dealers and customers across several significant European tyre markets. Local leadership follows regional reset Dr Guido Hüffer has been appointed managing director of Nexen Tire Germany, effective 1 August 2026.

He will oversee business development across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, commonly known as the DACH region.

Tire said Hüffer will focus on customer relationships, market opportunities and the company’s development across the three countries. The appointment gives an experienced tyre executive responsibility for a market where Nexen has already expanded its commercial coverage. Tyre News previously reported that the company had increased its German retail sales team after retail tyre sales rose sixfold over seven years.

Hüffer previously held senior sales, retail and business-development positions at Goodyear. His earlier roles included responsibility for consumer replacement sales and distribution planning across Central Europe. Poland gains dedicated management Ricky Lee has become managing director of Nexen Tire Poland.

He will lead the Polish organisation and work with dealer partners to develop the manufacturer’s position in the country. Poland forms part of Nexen’s wider Central and Eastern European sales organisation. The local appointment should give the business a clearer link between regional planning and dealer-level execution.

It follows Nexen Tire’s earlier decision to retain Jeffrey (Sang Jun) Kim as vice president of Europe Sales Central & East. Kim is responsible for sales planning and business development across the region. Combined responsibility for France and Spain HyunJe Cho has been named managing director of Nexen Tire France & Spain.





His remit covers operations and sales activity in both countries, alongside customer engagement and business development. The combined role links two established Nexen markets. The manufacturer operates branch offices in Lyon and Madrid as part of its wider European network.

France has also featured in Nexen’s retail development. Tyre News previously covered the company’s branded retail programme in France, which works with independent tyre businesses. A second stage of European restructuring The latest appointments build on a wider management realignment announced in late 2025.

That restructuring placed Jeff Roh in a newly created Europe-wide sales and marketing role. He oversees regional sales and marketing activity, with the stated aim of improving coordination and accelerating decisions.

They also follow earlier appointments covering the UK, Northern Europe and Romania. The company has recently expanded storage beside its Žatec factory in the Czech Republic. Its new automated warehouse increased capacity from about 530,000 to 830,000 tyres as factory output rises. Nexen has also secured European original equipment business, including tyres for BYD’s Dolphin Surf electric vehicle. Against that background, the leadership changes connect regional oversight with local sales management.
