About Recollia Recollia is a mobile-first medical education platform built for India's NEET PG aspirants and early-career doctors. We combine AI-powered tutoring, clinical case simulation, and structured courses with a voice-first, multilingual experience — because studying for one of the hardest exams in the country shouldn't also mean fighting with clunky tools or a language barrier. We're a small, fast-moving team building tools we'd have wanted ourselves as students.

Role Description We are looking for a Remote ML Engineer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the founder and report directly to him. You will contribute to model development, fine-tuning, feature engineering, statistical evaluation, and — a core focus of this role — building and optimizing agentic pipelines and automation systems that power our clinical LLM platform.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong core fundamentals in mathematics and machine learning who are excited to learn, iterate quickly, and build real-world agentic AI applications.

Responsibilities Implement, experiment with, and optimize ML, neural network, and fine-tuned model variants.

Design, build, and deploy agentic workflows and automation jobs — multi-step task orchestration, tool-calling agents, and autonomous pipelines that reduce manual intervention across the platform.

Design and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and hybrid AI pipelines.

Assist with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and statistical model evaluation.

Document experiments, participate in code reviews, and support model/agent integration into the clinical LLM platform.

Collaborate remotely with the team to solve complex problems using quantitative and systems-level approaches.

Qualifications Pursuing a degree in Mathematics/Computer Science Engineering/Artificial Intelligence/Circuital Branches.

Strong Foundations in Math & ML: Solid understanding of linear algebra, probability, statistics, model fine-tuning, and core machine learning concepts.

Computer Science Fundamentals: Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, and computational complexity.

Agentic Systems Exposure: Familiarity with building or experimenting with LLM agents, tool use/function calling, or multi-agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, or custom agent loops).

Programming & Tools: Proficient in Python, key ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PEFT/LoRA), and Git.

Analytical Mindset: Ability to apply pattern recognition and quantitative analysis to complex, high-dimensional datasets and hybrid AI architectures.

Communication & Collaboration: Able to work effectively in a remote team setting, communicate technical ideas clearly, and document work systematically.

Availability: This is a full time remote internship commitment. Candidates must be able to secure approval from their college/university for a full-time internship — please confirm this with your institution before applying. If you think you are a good fit for this role, please send your resume to [email protected] along with a brief introduction about yourself, why you are a good fit, and a description of something impactful you have built or done in the ML or agentic-systems domain.

Please note: only candidates whose college has approved them for a full-time internship commitment will be considered. Please not this position requires 40 hours commitment per week. Please do not apply if you cannot honor it. Thank you!
