Position location: Pune, India

1. Purpose of the job State concisely the aim of the job.

- The purpose of this role is to provide an effective and efficient service while creating business partnerships with operational teams and provide a value-added support infrastructure. This includes training and coaching segment based operational staff in how to operate and transact more efficiently, as well as driving significant improvements in current operations.

• The shared services centre in which you will evolve will be responsible for managing firm's accounting activities across several geographical areas.

3. Main assignments – Indicate the main activities / duties to be conducted in the job.

Your role could include supporting across some or all of the following activities:
• Maintain master data
• Close sub-ledgers
• Process inventory
• Reconcile intercompany accounting
• Support internal audits
• Manage external audits
• Engage in and contribute to R2R projects

Accountabilities – Give some key outputs of the position regarding the organization; they should focus on end results, not duties or activities.

Accountabilities will vary by area of responsibility, accountabilities may include:
• Accounts reconciled in a timely manner
• Journal entries processes in error-free manner
• Days to perform periodic close
• Time taken to approve the consolidated financial statements
• Year-on-year cost reduction

5. Person specification – Indicate the skills, knowledge and experience that the job holder should require to conduct the role effectively.

- Strong command of verbal and written English
• Undergraduate degree would be an advantage as well as a previous R2R experience or working in a finance environment
• Accounting qualification would be a plus
• Proven track record of achieving KPI’s
• Deliver to strict guidelines and to tight deadlines
• Must be able to demonstrate a high standard of communications skills, with the ability to identify the optimum communication channel as well as excellent customer service skills
• Pro-active, responsive and action orientated
• An individual & team player meeting the demands of both
• Excellent IT skills including Word/Excel

• Good systems knowledge, preferably experience working with SAP
