About the role

We are a psychiatric hospital and rehabilitation centre caring for patients with mental illness and substance-use disorders. We are hiring male nursing staff for our male inpatient ward. Freshers are welcome — full orientation and training in psychiatric care is provided.

Key responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day nursing care to psychiatric and de-addiction inpatients
- Administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate medication records
- Monitor vitals, observe and document changes in patient behaviour and mental status
- Assist patients with personal care, hygiene, feeding and mobility
- Support patients during withdrawal, agitation and acute episodes
- Safely manage aggressive or absconding-risk patients using approved de-escalation and physical restraint techniques, under supervision
- Escort patients to therapy sessions, investigations and OPD visits
- Maintain ward safety — sharps checks, contraband checks, suicide-risk precautions
- Handle emergencies and assist the duty doctor during medical or psychiatric crises
- Maintain nursing notes, shift handovers and incident reports

Requirements

- BSc Nursing / GNM / ANM from a recognised institution
- Valid State Nursing Council registration (or applied for)




- Male candidates — required for same-gender personal care and physical handling of patients in the male ward
- Physically fit and able to safely restrain, lift, and support adult patients; capable of long periods of standing and rapid response during emergencies
- Willing to work rotational shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Calm temperament, patience, and ability to stay composed under verbal or physical provocation
- Basic communication in [language(s)]

Preferred (not mandatory)

- Prior experience in a psychiatric, de-addiction or rehabilitation setting
- BLS certification
- Training in aggression management / crisis intervention
