Project Execution &

- Site Management

- Lead end-to-end civil project execution from site mobilisation and earthwork through structural construction, finishing, and civil handover.

- Manage day-to-day civil construction activities across all work fronts including main plant buildings, warehouses, utilities, roads, drainage, and boundary infrastructure.

- Monitor project progress against the master schedule; identify delays, develop recovery plans, and coordinate with contractors to maintain milestones.

- Ensure effective resource planning labour, equipment, and materials for uninterrupted civil construction activities.

- Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship, safety compliance, and alignment with approved designs and specifications.

Design Coordination &

- Technical Review

- Review and interpret civil and structural engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents for completeness, accuracy, and constructability.

- Coordinate with design consultants, PMC, and structural engineers to resolve design queries, technical discrepancies, and site-specific design modifications.

- Evaluate foundation designs, RCC structural designs, pre-engineered building (PEB) structures, and underground utility layouts.

- Provide technical inputs during design development to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with project requirements.

- Review and approve method statements, construction methodology, and shop drawings submitted by contractors.

Contractor &

- Vendor Management

- Manage EPC / civil contractors and sub-contractors — including scope definition, work order management, progress monitoring, and invoice certification.

- Conduct regular contractor review meetings to track progress, resolve site issues, and ensure accountability on deliverables.





- Evaluate and recommend civil material vendors and sub-contractors through techno-commercial assessments.

- Monitor and control civil construction costs — identify potential overruns, propose value engineering solutions, and support budget management.

Quality Assurance &

- Compliance

- Implement and enforce the project Quality Management Plan for all civil works — including incoming material inspection, in-process quality checks, and final acceptance criteria.

- Ensure all civil works comply with applicable Indian Standards (IS codes), NBC provisions, local authority requirements, and project specifications.

- Maintain documentation for quality control records, inspection test plans (ITPs), non-conformance reports (NCRs), and material test certificates.

- Coordinate third-party testing and inspection agencies for soil testing, concrete testing, and structural inspections.

Health, Safety &

- Environment (HSE)

- Champion a solid safety culture on all civil work fronts — ensuring strict adherence to HSE plans, work permits, and safety norms.

- Participate in safety audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations related to civil activities.

- Ensure compliance with environmental conditions during construction — dust control, water management, waste disposal, and protection of surrounding areas.

Reporting &

- Stakeholder Coordination

- Prepare and present regular civil progress reports — including S-curves, milestone trackers, look-ahead schedules, and issue logs — to project leadership.

- Coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and piping teams to plan and execute civil interface works (equipment foundations, cable trenches, pipe sleepers, etc.).

- Liaise with statutory authorities, local bodies, and regulatory agencies for civil-related approvals, NOCs, and compliance certifications.

- Support the commissioning team during the handover of civil areas, resolving any outstanding punch-list items.
