Role Description The Legal Officer is a full time, on-site role based in Latur. This role involves reviewing and drafting legal documents, contracts, and agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The Legal

Officer will provide legal opinions and consulting support to management and operational teams on business and cooperative law matters. Daily responsibilities include monitoring regulatory changes, managing legal documentation, supporting dispute resolution, and coordinating with external legal counsel when required. The role also includes maintaining organized legal records, assisting in policy formulation,



and conducting legal risk assessments related to the society’s financial and credit operations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Law and Business Law relevant to financial and cooperative institutions.
- Candidates should possess skills in Contract Law and Legal Document Preparation for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements.
- Candidates should possess experience in Legal Consulting, including providing clear, practical advice to internal stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills for interpreting statutes and regulations.
- Candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing opinions, notices, and reports.
- Relevant academic qualification such as LL.B. (or equivalent) from a recognized institution; additional specialization in corporate or banking law is an advantage.
- Prior experience as a Legal Officer or in a similar role within financial services, cooperatives, or banking is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Latur, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
