For more information, please visit www.bruker.com The Lead, Service Parts Operations and Global Logistics leads the development and execution of a global service parts ecosystem supporting advanced semiconductor and scientific instrumentation customers.
This role is responsible for ensuring next-day availability of critical spare parts, while optimizing inventory investment, logistics efficiency, and overall service performance. The position blends strategic planning and hands-on execution, driving measurable improvements in uptime, customer satisfaction, and working capital efficiency.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Network Optimization
Define and implement a global service parts strategy aligned to uptime, speed, and cost objectives
Design and optimize a multi-echelon distribution network (forward stocking, regional depots, central hubs) to enable rapid fulfillment
Establish segmentation models (criticality,
demand behavior, supply risk) to drive stocking policies
Forecasting & Inventory Planning
Lead forecasting models leveraging installed base, usage trends, and product lifecycle dynamics
Implement service-level–based safety stock and replenishment strategies
Improve forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and fill rate performance
Service Performance & Customer Impact
Deliver high service levels, including same-day / next-day parts availability for critical systems
Reduce customer downtime and eliminate escalations driven by parts shortages
Partner closely with field service and technical support teams to align demand and execution
Logistics & Fulfillment Execution
Optimize global logistics (3PLs, freight, depot balancing) to meet SLA commitments
Reduce premium freight while maintaining responsiveness for urgent downtime events
Enable scalable processes for global parts fulfillment
Inventory & Financial Management
Balance service levels with working capital efficiency
Drive reduction in excess & obsolete inventory and improve asset recovery
Improve repair cycle times and procurement lead times
Governance & Cross-Functional Leadership
Establish KPIs and operating cadence for service parts performance (fill rate, inventory health, uptime impact)
Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, supply chain, finance, and service operations
Deliver data-driven insights and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Post Graduates / Graduates with 8–12+ years of experience in service supply chain, spare parts planning, or logistics
Experience supporting complex capital equipment or instrumentation environments (semiconductor preferred)
Strong expertise in inventory planning, forecasting, and global logistics operations
Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment and deliver measurable operational improvements
