About The Opportunity Business Unit Energy & Power The primary responsibilities of a Lead Engineer- Power System Studies would be Working collaboratively on power system studies projects such as network modelling, steady state and dynamic studies.

Assist in building core technical competence in power system studies for conventional and renewable generation, grid connection, transmission and industrial network studies.

Support wider team on execution of assigned tasks and provide solutions to achieve the project goals efficiently.

Develop and nurture leading skills within Jacobs and relationships with clients whenever required. Self Motivated and Team Coherent

Ability to work in team, involve in project discussions, review technical reports, projects

Capable of delivering knowledge sharing sessions on technical topics, market developments and train the team

Support strong service delivery to all clients

Work with client and project managers to understand client requirements for key projects

Manage technical relationships and build appropriate level contacts with key clients.

Resolution of client’s queries

Strengthening of client relationships through excellent in project delivery and technical performance

Continuous commitment to Learning & Development.





Supporting projects through delivery, HSEC, quality and client service

Working in conjunction with DPE’s and PM’s to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget

Working with the GID counterpart to deliver the expected performance on the project

Understanding the commercial aspects of projects Here's what you'll need About You A minimum Postgraduate degree in power system engineering from a reputed institute preferable from IIT or NIT.

8+ years’ experience working in engineering/consulting organisation with a strong focus on power system modelling, simulations and problem solving.

Mandatory Skill Sets

Experience in power generation technologies, Solar, Wind and Battery storage (renewables) relevant to the market.

Optional experience in Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology power generation & microgrids.

Demonstrated experience in conducting studies like power system steady state and dynamic analysis (comprising of power flows, short circuit, protection coordination, unit protection, motor starting, arc flash, power quality, power system stability studies)

Electromagnetic Transient Analysis (Insulation Coordination, Equipment Failure analysis)

Grid Connection Studies Strong understanding of International standards, respective country Grid codes and able to interpret the requirements.

Excellent Technical Report writing skills.





Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate a explicit technical direction.

Hands on experience in operating power system softwares like PowerFactory, ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD, CYME, SKM.

Experience of Python programming is preferred.

Presenting well to clients (internal and external) and having good social and networking skills
