Job Summary The Total Rewards & Compliance Lead is responsible for leading and executing the organization’s compensation, benefits, and HR compliance for the India center. The role provides strategic and consultative support to business and HR leaders on complex compensation and benefits matters, leads end-to-end compensation design initiatives, and ensures effective administration of benefits programs.
In parallel, the role supports the HR compliance charter, ensuring adherence to local statutory requirements and regulations. The incumbent works closely with Total Rewards Global leadership and team, HR, Legal, business stakeholders and external vendors to ensure market-aligned rewards, compliant HR practices, and strong governance across systems and processes.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Total Rewards – Compensation & Benefits (Approx. 80%)
- Provide strategic compensation and benefits consultation to assigned lines of business, supporting decisions related to pay structures, incentives, promotions, and rewards positioning.
- Works closely with the global compensation team to ensure alignment to the organizations philosophy, processes and practices.
- Lead end-to-end compensation design efforts, including job evaluation, market benchmarking, pay structure design, incentive plan design, and governance approvals.
- Manage and execute annual compensation processes such as salary reviews, bonuses, promotions, and special pay actions, ensuring equity, consistency, and budget adherence.
- Conduct market pricing and benchmarking studies; analyze external market trends and internal equity to develop data-driven recommendations.
- Oversee the administration and continuous improvement of benefits programs, including health insurance, leave programs, retirement plans, disability, life insurance, and other employee benefits.
- Manage benefits vendors and consultants, including renewals, cost analysis, utilization reviews, service quality, and issue resolution.
- Lead benefits communication and education initiatives to improve employee awareness, understanding, and engagement with total rewards offerings.
- Oversee administration of the leave of absence and disability of accommodation programs, ensuring fair, compliant, and timely execution.
- Partner with Total Rewards leadership, Finance, HR, and business leaders to support broader benefits strategy development and execution aligned with organizational goals.
- HR Compliance (Approx. 20%)
- Support the HR compliance charter for the India center, ensuring adherence to applicable labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal policies related to Total rewards more specifically to areas related to Compensaion and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with regulations related to wages, benefits, working hours, leave, social security, and employment practices.
- Work closely with internal Legal teams and external legal counsel to interpret regulatory changes, assess impact, and implement required actions.
- Lead and support internal and external audits, inspections, and statutory filings, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and documentation readiness.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, India is a requirement of the role. *
Mode of Working: This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While on-site presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment. Skills And Background You’ll Need Education: Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Effectiveness, Labor Law, or a related field
Experience
- 10+ years of progressively responsible HR experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in compensation, perks, and HR compliance in similar industry.
