Role Description This full-time on-site role, based in London, is for a Lawyer (Barrister, Advocate, Solicitor, or Attorney) who will handle a varied caseload and provide comprehensive legal services. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising clients, drafting and reviewing contracts and pleadings, conducting legal research, and preparing opinions and reports.
The role involves representing clients in negotiations, hearings, and court proceedings, as well as liaising with regulators, counterparties, and other stakeholders. The lawyer will collaborate with colleagues on complex matters, contribute to internal knowledge development, and support business development by maintaining strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
Qualifications
- Possession of relevant legal qualifications (e.g., qualified Solicitor,
Barrister, Advocate, Attorney) and current eligibility to practice law in the United Kingdom.
- Demonstrated experience in legal research, analysis, and drafting of contracts, pleadings, opinions, and other legal documents.
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and client advisory skills, with the ability to present complex legal issues clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in case management, time management, and prioritization of multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of applicable UK laws, regulations, and court procedures within at least one core practice area (e.g., commercial, civil, regulatory, or employment law).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- High ethical standards, sound professional judgment, and a commitment to confidentiality and client service.
- Experience with legal technology tools, document management systems, and standard office software; willingness to learn new systems.
- Prior experience in a law firm, chambers, corporate legal department, or similar environment is highly beneficial.
- Additional language skills, cross-border experience, or sector-specific knowledge (e.g., finance, technology, healthcare) are an advantage.
