Role & responsibilities :-

- Keeps records and reports of nursing services.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Supervise Nursing Supervisors, In-charges, and nursing staff.
- Monitor staff performance and provide guidance.
- Address staff concerns and resolve workplace issues.
- Ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
- Monitor nursing practices and clinical standards.
- Investigate patient care incidents and recommend improvements.
- Plan nursing duty rosters.
- Ensure adequate staffing in all departments.
- Coordinate staff deployment during emergencies.
- Conduct or coordinate continuing nursing education (CNE).
- Encourage career development and competency improvement.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor nursing quality indicators and infection control practices.
- Support hospital accreditation activities (such as NABH applicable).
- Coordinate with doctors, allied health professionals,



and hospital administration.
- Attend management meetings and communicate decisions to nursing teams.
- Ensure availability of nursing equipment and supplies.
- Monitor proper utilization of hospital resources.
- Report equipment shortages or maintenance needs.
- Review nursing records and reports.
- Prepare departmental performance reports.
- Maintain staffing, leave, and training records.
