Role & responsibilities

- Advanced Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.

- Advanced Linux administration and troubleshooting.

- Robust networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, routing and packet-level diagnostics).

- A strong understanding of monitoring architecture and tooling (OBM, SiteScope, PagerDuty, Dynatrace, SCOM or equivalents).

- Strong ITIL incident, problem and major-incident management experience.

- Proven scripting and automation ability (PowerShell, Python or Bash) with a delivery track record.

- The ability to mentor and set standards, and a commitment to fixed early / late shift cover.

Beneficial Skills / Experience

- ITIL Intermediate / Practitioner (or higher) certification.

- Any prior NOC, command-centre, data-centre or service-desk experience.

- Experience with AIOps, observability platforms and event correlation.

- Cloud, database or middleware awareness, and DR leadership experience.

- Experience improving operational processes and reducing manual toil at scale.
