IT Administrator / IT Operations Lead

Position Summary

LumenData is seeking an experienced IT Administrator / IT Operations Lead to own end-to-end IT operations across our Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. The role covers identity and access management, endpoint management, security and compliance, cloud infrastructure, IT automation, and day-to-day operational support for a globally distributed workforce. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on Microsoft stack expertise with the ability to design processes, automate repetitive work, and act as the single point of accountability for IT.

Location & Reporting

- Reports to: Head of Operations / Management

Key Responsibilities

Identity & Access Management (Microsoft Entra ID)

- Administer Entra ID: users, security groups, dynamic groups, enterprise applications, and app registrations
- Design and manage SAML/OIDC SSO integrations for SaaS platforms (e.g., Informatica IDMC, Zoho, AI tools)
- Implement Conditional Access policies, MFA, and identity governance controls
- Automate joiner/mover/leaver (JML) processes including attribute stamping and group-based provisioning

Microsoft 365 Administration

- Manage the M365 tenant: Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and licensing
- Administer Exchange mail flow rules, anti-spam/anti-phishing policies, and email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
- Handle escalations such as mail deliverability issues, connector management, and third-party sending domains

Endpoint Management (Microsoft Intune)

- Manage Windows and macOS device fleets via Intune: enrollment (ADE/ABM, Autopilot), compliance, and configuration profiles
- Deploy and operate Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Device Control/USB policies, ASR rules,



and Network Protection
- Configure Platform SSO for macOS and maintain a consistent security baseline across platforms

Security & Compliance

- Administer Microsoft Purview: sensitivity labels, DLP policies, and data governance aligned to GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and DPDP Act
- Run Attack Simulation Training campaigns and security awareness programs, including automated targeting of new joiners
- Manage Defender for Cloud Apps session controls and data exfiltration prevention measures
- Support client and regulatory compliance requirements and audits

Cloud Infrastructure (Azure & AWS)

- Provision and manage Azure resources: VMs (Windows/Linux), VNets, NSGs, Bastion, storage, and Azure Virtual Desktop
- Host and administer enterprise application infrastructure (e.g., Informatica IDMC Secure Agents) on Azure
- Manage Linux servers (RHEL/Rocky): SSH access, user management, and application support
- Manage AWS resources: EC2, VPC, security groups, S3, IAM, and Systems Manager for hybrid workloads
- Optimize cloud cost and enforce secure-by-default network access patterns across Azure and AWS

Automation & Tooling

- Build automations with Power Automate, Microsoft Graph API, and PowerShell (license approvals, access requests, notifications)
- Administer Azure DevOps: projects, boards, custom processes, dashboards, and portfolio tracking




- Evaluate, pilot, and roll out productivity and AI tooling (e.g., meeting-notes platforms, LLM-based assistants) with proper governance

IT Operations & Vendor Management

- Own IT support processes: onboarding/offboarding, access requests via forms and approval workflows, and asset management
- Manage hardware procurement and vendor relationships (OEMs, resellers, software vendors)
- Produce clear documentation, runbooks, and end-user communications

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years in IT administration/operations with strong Microsoft 365 and Entra ID expertise
- Hands-on experience with Intune (Windows + macOS), Defender for Endpoint, and Purview
- Solid Azure IaaS experience: VMs, networking, NSGs, and remote access patterns
- Working knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM); multi-cloud exposure preferred
- SAML SSO design and troubleshooting experience with enterprise applications
- Strong PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API scripting skills
- Linux administration fundamentals (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Experience with Power Automate or similar workflow automation platforms
- Explicit written and verbal communication; able to work directly with management and end users

Nice to Have

- Experience hosting/administering Informatica IDMC or similar data platform Secure Agents
- Azure DevOps administration, including custom inherited processes and dashboards
- Exposure to multi-jurisdiction data privacy compliance (GDPR, DPDP Act, CCPA)
- Microsoft certifications: MS-102, AZ-104, SC-300, MD-102, or equivalent; AWS Solutions Architect Associate a plus
- Experience in an IT-consulting or data-consultancy environment
