Mode: Full time - regular Notice period: 30 to 60 days Role: This job is placed in Bangalore office. The role requires working with international customers from industrial equipment and gear transmission products spread across the globe. The job role involves executing, mentoring and leading the team on design and development activities of products like geared motors, transmission, engines, drive elements etc.

The design activities include gear design calculations, product sizing, DFM, DFMEA, reverse engineering, bench marking and creating manufacturing drawings at various levels bringing value to the customer and the organization. It is also expected a thorough understanding of the basic engineering principles of the products and the application of design philosophies making them configured to new functional and non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities: A.

Work Execution: 1) Understand the product and its functionalities.

- Perform design calculations and validation.
- Reverse engineer the physical products through teardown analysis and resemble its design performance parameters.
- Create and Review 3D CAD models in line with best industry practices in the absence of customer standards.
- Create and Review manufacturing drawings of various levels, part, sub-assy, assembly, layouts, GA etc.
- Create and Review 3D CAD models from given scan data within required tolerance value of scan and original profile.
- Apply GD&T; including tolerance stack-up analysis on the redesign.
- Capable of developing 3D surfaces using various surface creation/edit options – matching them to fit within the model tolerances.

Project Lead: 1)



Prepare project estimations and drive team the in managing the project.

- Project planning and resource planning.
- Develop and ensure the team for compliance with internal project execution process.
- Work closely with the customer focal for scheduled calls/meetings wherever involved in understanding the product/project requirements thoroughly.
- Create and keep updated all the internal project documents regularly.
- Prepare and update weekly external and internal project status reports.
- Drive the team in achieving project goals and KRAs of team members.
- Develop and mentor cooperative teams.

Domain and Tools: a) Heavy Engineering Products and Systems (Power transmission products like gear boxes, geared motors, drive elements used across, automotive, steel plants, printing & packaging industries etc.) b) Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Products c) Any of CAD tools like SolidEdge, SolidWorks, UG-NX, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, etc. d) Working knowledge on Hydraulic/Pneumatic domain area Skills: a) Ability to understand mechanical equipment and its working knowledge quickly b) Developing good working relationships with the team and inter multi-disciplinary groups. c) Excellent 3D modelling skills using various surface creation/editing options d) Experience in creating manufacturing drawings complying with ISO, ASME, DIN, EU Standards e) Full command on GD&T; and its applications on the design f) Good drawings / blue prints reading skills g) Managing all the project stakeholders including customer, team and cross functional members. h) Collaborative and supportive on knowledge sharing with the team members i) Excellent written and verbal communication skills j) Effective coordination and negotiation skills
