Industrial Design Intern (Mechanical/Product Design)

Location: Delhi NCR (In office/Hybrid)

Internship Duration: 2 Months (Extendable based on Performance)

Stipend: ₹10,000 per month

We're looking for an Industrial Design Intern who enjoys solving real engineering challenges—not just creating attractive CAD models.

What You'll Work On

- Design complex mechanical assemblies for smart hardware products.
- Create production-ready CAD models and optimize designs for manufacturing.
- Design parts for 3D printing , CNC machining, and injection moulding .
- Develop gear trains, motion mechanisms, and torque transmission systems.
- Optimize mechanisms for durability, manufacturability, and cost.
- Prototype, test, and iterate mechanical components.
- Work closely with electronics and software teams to integrate mechanical designs.

We're Looking For Someone Who
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (preferred). Experience with Fusion 360, Creo, or Onshape is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing and knowledge of print orientation, tolerances, materials, and post-processing.
- Understanding of injection mould design , including draft angles, wall thickness, ribs,



bosses, snap fits, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Ability to design complex geometries and compact electromechanical assemblies.
- Good understanding of gears, torque, motors, bearings, shafts, springs, and mechanical power transmission .
- Experience in prototyping and solving real-world mechanical design challenges.
- A portfolio showcasing CAD models, prototypes, or mechanical projects.

Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience with FEA, GD&T;, tolerance analysis, or mechanism design is a plus.
- Passion for building innovative consumer hardware products.
