Job Description :

We are seeking a detail-oriented SQL Developer to design, develop, optimize, and support SQL-based solutions that power clinical, operational, financial, and patient experience reporting across the enterprise.

You will be responsible for writing, maintaining, and troubleshooting SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, tables, and scripts that transform source system data into accurate, trusted, and usable information for reports, dashboards, integrations, and operational decision-making.

The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of relational databases, SQL Server development, stored procedure development, query optimization, and healthcare operational data. The successful candidate will build and maintain SQL database objects, reporting queries, data extracts, validation checks, and troubleshooting scripts that ensure decision makers have timely, accurate, and actionable information. They must be able to partner with analysts, BI developers, application owners, database administrators, and stakeholders to understand data needs, resolve data issues, and deliver dependable SQL solutions.

Success looks like:

- Improving reporting accuracy and reducing recurring data defects through solid SQL validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting

- Optimizing high-value SQL queries, stored procedures, and reporting logic to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability

- Delivering reliable SQL objects and datasets that support Power BI dashboards, operational reports,



exports, and downstream analytics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The SQL Developer will be responsible for:

SQL Development

- Design, develop, test, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, tables, and scripts that support reporting, analytics, data extracts, and operational workflows

- Create and maintain SQL-based data extracts, transformations, and load scripts that support EHR, revenue cycle, financial, operational, and third-party data needs

- Develop reusable, well-documented SQL datasets that support enterprise applications, Power BI dashboards, and business analysis use cases.

Data Quality, Performance & Troubleshooting

- Build SQL validation, reconciliation, exception handling, and audit checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness

- Tune SQL queries, joins, indexes, stored procedures, and reporting logic for performance, reliability, and maintainability

- Document SQL logic, business rules, source-to-target mappings, and data definitions to support repeatable reporting and support processes

Reporting & Application Support

- Partner with analysts, BI developers, application teams, and stakeholders to translate reporting and operational requirements into accurate SQL logic and backend data structures

- Work with data from EHR systems such as RainTree, revenue cycle platforms, APIs, flat files, and other enterprise applications

- Troubleshoot data issues, perform root cause analysis,



and coordinate fixes across source systems, SQL logic, data extracts, and reporting layers

- Support production reports, scheduled jobs, data refreshes, deployments, incident response, and ongoing maintenance of critical SQL assets

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities to automate manual SQL processes, reduce technical debt, and improve reporting delivery practices

- Collaborate with IT, analytics, operations, finance, clinical, and revenue cycle teams to ensure SQL solutions meet business needs

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

- 8+ years of experience in SQL development, database development, reporting support, data analysis, ETL scripting, or business intelligence data delivery

- Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, stored procedures, functions, temp tables, query tuning, indexing, and performance troubleshooting

- Experience creating and maintaining relational database objects, reporting datasets, extracts, and SQL-based business logic

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio, Azure SQL, SQL Agent jobs, or similar database platforms and tools

- Experience working with data extracts, flat files, database queries, incremental loads, scheduled jobs, and batch processing

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical team.

Experience with healthcare data, revenue cycle data, clinic operations, or multi-site healthcare environments

- Exposure to healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR)

Nice-to-Have

- Familiarity with Git, DevOps practices, Power BI, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, dbt, Python, or Azure data services
