Role Description The Head of Department (HOD) Computer Science will lead the academic and operational activities of the Computer Science department at CollegeDekho. This full-time, on-site role in Gurugram involves designing and updating curricula, overseeing teaching quality, and ensuring alignment with industry and academic standards. The HOD will mentor faculty members, guide academic planning, and support student success through robust pedagogy and assessments.

Responsibilities include coordinating with other departments and leadership, contributing to academic strategy, promoting research and innovation,



and representing the department in institutional initiatives. The role also involves maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements and driving continuous improvement in departmental performance.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science and related disciplines.

Candidates should possess practical expertise in Software Development and Programming for academic and applied learning contexts.

Candidates should possess skills in Informatics, including data management, information systems, and applied computing concepts.

Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for teaching, academic leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.

Postgraduate degree (preferably PhD) in Computer Science or a closely related field from a recognized institution.

Significant academic experience, including prior leadership or coordination responsibilities within a Computer Science or related department.

Proven record of teaching excellence, curriculum development, and contribution to research, industry projects, or innovation.

Ability to manage teams, handle academic administration, and work effectively in an on-site, collaborative setting in Gurugram.
