Job Title: Workday Compensation Architect
Location: Pune

Job Summary
As a Workday Compensation Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, globally compliant compensation solutions within the Workday HCM platform. You will translate complex business compensation strategies into robust technical configurations, ensuring alignment across global markets—particularly the USA and India. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving data integrity, system efficiency, and a seamless employee experience.
By collaborating closely with HCM, Absence, and Payroll teams, you will proactively identify and mitigate potential downstream impacts, ensuring smooth integration across core HR processes. You will lead the configuration of compensation plans, eligibility rules, scorecards, reports, and calculated fields, while also spearheading regression testing, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your strategic input will support change management efforts and empower end users with explicit, actionable guidance.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end architecture and configuration of Compensation and Advanced Compensation modules, including merit, bonus, allowance, and equity programs
Translate business compensation strategies into scalable, globally consistent Workday solutions
Collaborate with HCM, Absence, and Payroll teams to ensure seamless integration and prevent downstream system impacts
Configure and maintain:
Compensation plans, packages, and eligibility rules
Compensation statements and scorecards with associated profiles
Job profiles, compensation grades, and grade profiles across multiple countries
Custom compensation reports (Standard, Advanced, Matrix), calculated fields, business processes, and conditional logic
Conduct regular compensation audits and deliver scalable, sustainable resolutions
Develop and maintain custom compensation reports and calculated fields to support business needs
Lead compensation regression testing following new Workday releases
Identify and implement system enhancements to improve data accuracy, operational efficiency, and user experience
Support the HCM Manager in developing change management plans and end-user training materials Requirements
4-8 years of hands-on Workday Compensation configuration experience
Proven track record in designing and implementing complex compensation programs in Workday for multinational organizations, with specific experience in the USA and India
Deep understanding of integration touchpoints between Compensation, HCM, Absence, and Payroll systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data integrity and process optimization
Preferred Qualifications
Workday Compensation Certification
Workday Advanced Compensation Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
