Independently monitor and enforce construction quality standards across all work-fronts, own the NCR lifecycle, and ensure materials and workmanship conform to specifications and applicable IS codes.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Inspection
- Conduct stage-wise inspections (shuttering, reinforcement, pre-pour, post-pour, finishing) and issue clearance/hold as applicable.
- Inspect incoming materials (cement, steel, aggregates, ready-mix concrete) for conformance to specification; maintain test certificates.
- Witness/coordinate field and lab tests (cube testing, slump test, steel testing) and maintain test registers.
NCR Management
- Raise Non-Conformance Reports for deviations observed at any work-front and track root-cause and corrective action.
- Own the NCR tracker for the project; drive closure within timelines and report ageing NCRs to the project committee.
- Verify rework/rectification before closing NCRs.
Documentation & Standards
- Maintain the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan, inspection checklists, and test records for the project.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IS codes, client specifications, and approved method statements.
- Prepare quality dashboards/reports for the project committee.
Training & Awareness
- Conduct quality awareness sessions for site engineers and contractor supervisors.
Support onboarding of recent subcontractors on the project's quality requirements.
