Job Summary The Head – Operations will be responsible for the organization's overall operational performance, including manufacturing, production planning, supply chain, procurement, quality, maintenance, logistics, warehouse management, project execution, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role demands a hands-on leader with solid business acumen, operational expertise, and a proven track record in managing manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Lead and manage end-to-end operations across manufacturing plants and support functions.

Develop operational strategies aligned with the company's business goals and growth plans.

Drive operational excellence through process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure smooth coordination between Production, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and Projects.

Manufacturing & Production

Oversee production planning and execution to achieve output, quality, cost, and delivery targets.

Improve plant productivity, capacity utilization, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Ensure timely completion of production schedules while maintaining product quality.

Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and 5S initiatives across operations.

Supply Chain & Procurement

Optimize procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics operations.

Ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials and components.

Improve inventory turnover while minimizing excess stock and stock-outs.

Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.

Lead quality improvement programs and root cause analysis for operational issues.





Implement preventive and corrective actions to reduce defects and rework.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational functions.

Maintenance & Asset Management

Ensure effective preventive and predictive maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.

Improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

Support capital expenditure planning and plant expansion projects.

Commercial & Financial Management

Prepare and manage operational budgets.

Monitor operational costs and implement cost optimization initiatives.

Drive productivity improvement and profitability enhancement.

Track operational KPIs and present business performance to senior leadership.

Safety, Compliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, environmental standards, and EHS policies.

Promote a strong safety culture across the organization.

Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other quality management systems.

Team Leadership

Build, mentor, and develop high-performing operational teams.

Drive employee engagement, capability development, and succession planning.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.

MBA in Operations or Supply Chain Management is preferred.

15–20 years of experience in manufacturing operations,



with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven experience in managing large-scale manufacturing operations.

Strong knowledge of production planning, supply chain, procurement, quality systems, maintenance, and logistics.

Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, and operational excellence methodologies.

Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).

Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs, and profitability.

Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
