Role Description The Head of Unit is a full-time leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations within the manufacturing unit in Jammu, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some tasks to be performed from home.

Responsibilities include planning and supervising production schedules, monitoring quality control, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain. The role involves managing and mentoring unit staff, optimizing resource utilization, resolving operational issues, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.



The Head of Unit will also be expected to contribute to strategic decision-making, report performance metrics to senior management, and support customer requirements through timely and accurate delivery.

Qualifications

- Experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in extrusion blow molding, injection molding, or pharmaceutical packaging.
- Knowledge of production planning, quality control processes, and safety regulations in an industrial setting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including team management, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for addressing process, equipment, and workflow challenges.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Ability to use basic production and reporting software tools; familiarity with ERP or manufacturing systems is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial management, or a related field; relevant vocational qualifications may also be considered.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a factory or production unit is highly beneficial.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
