Experience: 10 to 15 years in a manufacturing plant (Spring/Automotive industry preferred).

Strong expertise in mechanical maintenance of spring manufacturing related machinery & good working knowledge of electrical systems is highly essential. Experience in the maintenance of Leaf Spring Parabolic Rolling Machines and knowledge of PLC systems will be considered a strong asset. Must have awareness of IATF 16949 quality management systems and hands-on experience with related maintenance documentation.

Role Description The Head of Maintenance is a full time, on-site role located at Mack Springs’ facility in Navi Mumbai. This role is responsible for leading the maintenance function, including planning, organizing, and overseeing all preventive and corrective maintenance activities for plant machinery, equipment, and utilities.

Day-to-day tasks include developing maintenance schedules, supervising maintenance teams, coordinating repairs, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.



The Head of Maintenance will collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to support smooth operations and implement improvements in equipment performance and reliability. The role also involves monitoring maintenance budgets, managing spare parts inventory, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Maintenance Management and overall Maintenance operations, with experience in managing industrial or manufacturing facilities.
- Candidates should possess hands-on expertise in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to reduce equipment downtime and extend asset life.
- Candidates should possess proven Team Management skills, including supervising technicians, coordinating workloads, and developing team capabilities.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of safety standards, compliance requirements, and best practices for plant and equipment maintenance.
- Candidates should possess experience with mechanical and electrical systems used in manufacturing environments; exposure to automotive components or metal forming is an advantage.
- Candidates should possess robust problem-solving, planning, and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should possess a relevant technical qualification, such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Experience in leading maintenance departments and implementing maintenance systems (e.g., CMMS or similar tools) is highly beneficial.
