Job Title: Factory Finance Head (Head – Finance & Accounts, Plant) Reports to: Plant Head / CFO

Department: Finance & Accounts

Location: Sriperumbudur factory To lead and control all financial, accounting, costing, statutory, and internal-control activities of the garment manufacturing unit (shirts and trousers), ensuring accurate reporting, healthy cash flow, optimum product costing, and full compliance with applicable laws, while supporting profitability and operational efficiency across production and warehousing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting, ledger maintenance, and month/quarter/year-end closing for the unit.
- Prepare and present monthly MIS, P&L;, balance sheet, and cash-flow statements to management.
- Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Cost Accounting & Product Costing (core for garment manufacturing)
- Develop and maintain standard costing for each style/SKU of shirts and trousers (fabric, trims, CMT/stitching, labour, overheads).
- Analyse cost per garment, style-wise and order-wise profitability, and variance (standard vs. actual).
- Monitor fabric consumption, cutting wastage, rejection/rework costs, and yield efficiency in coordination with the production department.
- Support pricing decisions and order costing.
- Inventory & Warehousing Finance
- Control valuation and accounting of raw material (fabric, trims, accessories), WIP, and finished goods inventory.
- Ensure physical stock verification, periodic cycle counts, and reconciliation with system records (ERP) for both stores and the warehouse.
- Monitor inventory ageing,



slow-moving/dead stock, and minimise carrying cost and shrinkage.
- Establish financial controls over warehouse goods receipt (GRN), dispatch, stock transfers, and goods-in-transit.
- Canteen & Employee Welfare Finance
- Oversee accounting and cost control of canteen operations.
- Accurate booking of welfare expenses.
- Track per-meal cost and canteen budget vs. actuals.
- Statutory Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure timely compliance and filing for GST, TDS and applicable indirect taxes.
- Support labour-law-linked financial compliances – PF, ESI, Qualified Tax, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages.
- Handle export-related financial documentation.
- Budgeting & Internal Controls
- Prepare annual budgets, capex plans, and rolling forecasts; monitor actuals against budget.
- Strengthen internal financial controls (SOPs) across procurement, stores, production, dispatch, and canteen.
- Identify cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities.
- c& Team Management
- Drive accurate and timely use of ERP for finance and inventory modules.
- Lead, train, and develop the factory finance team; allocate work and review performance.

- Accuracy and timeliness of monthly closing and MIS
- Style-wise/order-wise cost accuracy and gross margin
- Inventory accuracy %, ageing, and shrinkage levels
- Statutory compliance with zero penalties
