We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Design Head to lead the design function for our commercial fit-out and managed office/co-working projects.
The ideal candidate should have 10–15 years of solid experience in commercial interior design, with proven expertise in office spaces, co-working spaces, managed offices, corporate interiors, and large-scale commercial fit-outs.
The candidate will be responsible for leading the complete design lifecycle—from concept development and space planning to design execution and handover—while ensuring that projects meet the organization's standards for design quality, functionality, aesthetics, timelines, and budgets. The role requires a strong combination of design expertise, leadership, project coordination, commercial understanding, and stakeholder management. Key Responsibilities

Design
Leadership
- Lead the overall design function for commercial fit-out and co-working projects.
- Develop design concepts that align with client requirements, business objectives, and company standards.
- Establish and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices across projects.
- Review and approve design concepts, layouts, material selections, and detailed drawings.
- Ensure consistency in design quality across all projects.
- Lead and mentor the internal design team and build a strong design culture.
- Commercial & Co-Working Space Design
- Lead the design of co-working spaces, managed offices, corporate offices, commercial interiors, and flexible workspaces.
- Develop efficient space planning based on business requirements, occupancy, functionality, and user experience.
- Create innovative workplace environments that balance aesthetics, functionality, employee experience, and cost efficiency.
- Understand current workplace design trends, flexible office concepts, and modern workspace requirements.
- Ensure designs are scalable and suitable for different project sizes and locations. 3.
Project Design
Management
- Manage the complete design lifecycle from concept to execution.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, MEP, QS, Procurement, Operations, Sales, and other internal teams.
- Review architectural, interior, MEP, electrical, HVAC, fire and other relevant drawings.
- Ensure design deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
- Identify design-related challenges and provide practical solutions.
- Conduct regular design reviews and site visits to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Understand client requirements and translate them into practical design solutions.
- Participate in client presentations and design discussions.
- Manage design approvals and incorporate feedback appropriately.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
- Act as the key design point of contact for major projects.
- Budget & Commercial Management
- Ensure design decisions are aligned with approved project budgets.
- Work closely with QS and Procurement teams on material specifications and cost optimization.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization without compromising design quality.
- Review material selections and specifications from both design and commercial perspectives.
- Ensure design changes do not negatively impact project timelines or budgets.
- Team Management
- Lead, manage, and mentor the design team.
- Allocate projects and responsibilities based on team capabilities and project requirements.
- Review team performance and provide regular feedback.
- Develop the team's technical and creative capabilities.
- Establish processes for design reviews, approvals, documentation, and quality control. 7.

- Maintain high standards of design quality across all projects.
- Introduce innovative and cost-effective design solutions.
- Research new materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and workplace technologies.
- Stay updated on commercial workplace and co-working design trends.

Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in commercial interior design and fit-outs.
- Strong experience in commercial office interiors and workplace design.
- Prior experience working with co-working spaces, managed office spaces, flexible workspaces, or large corporate office projects is highly preferred.
- Experience managing large-scale commercial fit-out projects.
- Proven experience managing and leading a design team.
- Strong understanding of design execution and construction processes.
- Experience working with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.

- Execution Orientation Preferred Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate should be a strong design leader who understands both creativity and execution. They should have experience working in fast-paced commercial fit-out environments and be capable of managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
Candidates who have previously worked with co-working companies, managed office providers, commercial interior design firms, real estate companies, or large corporate workplace design organizations will be preferred.
The candidate should be comfortable working closely with Founders/Management, Clients, Project Managers, Architects, MEP Teams, QS, Procurement, and Operations teams and should have the ability to take ownership of the complete design function.
