Job Summary:

About the Role

We build end-to-end Industrial IoT solutions from sensor and firmware level up to gateways and cloud. We're looking for an embedded engineer with solid fundamentals, not just platform integration experience. You'll design, develop, and debug firmware for ARM-based systems, work hands-on with hardware, and architect reliable sensor-to-cloud pipelines for industrial environments.

Role & responsibilities

- Develop and debug firmware in C/C++ for ARM Cortex-M class microcontrollers (STM32, NXP, Nordic, TI, or similar)
- Design and implement communication between sensors, edge devices, gateways, and cloud platforms
- Work with wireless stacks such as BLE, LoRa/LoRaWAN, Wi-Fi, Sub-GHz, Zigbee, or cellular (LTE-M/NB-IoT)
- Bring up new hardware: read schematics and datasheets, use logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters to debug at the board level
- Implement and troubleshoot protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, RS-485/Modbus, CAN, MQTT, CoAP, HTTP
- Reverse-engineer existing devices, protocols, or undocumented systems when needed and propose practical solutions
- Optimize for power, memory, and reliability in constrained industrial deployments
- Collaborate with cloud/backend teams on device provisioning, OTA updates, and data pipelines

Must-Have Foundations

- Solid C programming for embedded targets pointers, memory management, interrupts, DMA, peripheral drivers written from register level or HAL, not just library calls
- Hands-on experience with at least one ARM microcontroller family beyond hobbyist boards (Arduino UNO / bare ESP32 tutorials alone don't qualify — we want work with STM32, nRF52, LPC, SAM, or similar in real products)
- Basic electronics: ability to read schematics, understand pull-ups, level shifting,



power supply basics, ADC/DAC behavior, and debug hardware issues independently

Networking fundamentals:

- TCP/IP basics, how MQTT/HTTP work over the wire, IP addressing, and debugging connectivity issues (Wireshark familiarity is a plus)
- Experience with at least one wireless technology at the protocol/configuration level, not just "it connected"
- Experience integrating sensors gateway cloud end to end, understanding what happens at each hop
- Comfort with debuggers (JTAG/SWD), reading map files, and diagnosing hard faults

Good to Have

- RTOS experience (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX)
- Industrial protocol experience: Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC-UA, PROFINET, BACnet
- Firmware security basics: secure boot, encrypted OTA, TLS on constrained devices
- Cloud IoT platforms: AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, or custom MQTT brokers
- PCB-level familiarity or experience working closely with hardware design teams
- Python or shell scripting for tooling and test automation
- Experience reverse-engineering firmware, protocols, or third-party device behavior

What We're NOT Looking For

- Experience limited to drag-and-drop IoT platforms or vendor SDK integration without understanding what runs underneath
- "IoT experience" that is only mobile app + cloud dashboard configuration
- Arduino sketch-level work with no exposure to datasheets, debugging tools, or production constraints
