Position: Manager / Assistant Manager / Supervisor Record to Report (R2R) / General Ledger (GL)

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced finance professionals to join our Record to Report (R2R) / General Ledger team. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience in month-end close activities, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and General Ledger accounting. The role requires ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting while supporting business operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) processes.
- Perform General Ledger (GL) accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities within established timelines.
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports and management reports.
- Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliations and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
- Review Profit & Loss accounts and ensure financial accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Maintain fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and intercompany accounting where applicable.
- Review account reconciliations and identify process improvements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and compliance requirements.
- Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful financial insights to management.
- Drive continuous process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and business partners to resolve accounting issues.
- Mentor junior team members and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

- MBA (Finance), M.Com, CA Inter, CMA Inter, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Experience

Supervisor

- 5–7 years of experience in General Ledger or Record to Report (R2R).
- Experience in month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ability to guide junior team members.

Assistant Manager

- 7–10 years of experience in General Ledger / R2R.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, IFRS/US GAAP, process improvements, and stakeholder management.
- Experience leading a small team is preferred.

Manager

- 10+ years of experience in General Ledger / Record to Report operations.
- Proven experience managing teams, driving month-end close, financial reporting, controllership, compliance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership, people management, and client/stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working with US-based clients or Global Business Services (GBS) / Shared Services.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Experience in process transition and standardization.
- Lean Six Sigma certification is an added advantage.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
