The role will manage day-to-day finance activities and reporting. It will also assist the Finance Controller with controllership activities, including period-, quarter-, and year-end closing, as well as statutory and internal audits.
Responsibilities:
Independently manage the period close activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Manual Journal Entries (MJEs) i.e accruals (standard and PO based)
- Review of the working of inventory write off provision
- Review the balances of clearing accounts and record necessary entries.
- Review the working of AR and doubtful debts provision for final sign off by finance controller or finance director.
- Work on the addition and deletion of Fixed Assets
- Scrutinize the monthly GST entries provided by the Tax function.
- Monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Compile data for SOX Control testing.
- Maintain manual purchase register
Assist in Controllership activities
- Support the revenue recognition accounting each period.
- Support in reviewing the payroll entries posted.
- Support in analyzing P&L; variations and comments
- Support in reviewing the variances report provided by ZFS.
- Statutory and Internal audits
- Provide Tax team the data required for Income tax and GST assessments.
This position will act as the primary contact for Zoetis India colleagues regarding AR and AP processes.
This position will actively interact with the shared services (ZFS) and should also be updated with company policies.
This position has to interact and support the Finance Director and should be able to handle.
ad-hoc and special projects that require financial analysis.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education and Experience
- Semi qualified CA with 3-4 years of experience or Graduate with 6-8 years of experience.
- Experience in US Multinational preferred.
- Experience in managing Accounting, closing, and financial reporting.
- Experience in SAP environment preferred.
- Functional knowledge of USGAAP and Ind AS
Skills
- Understanding of accounting, internal controls, and financial analysis.
- Functional knowledge of tax compliances
- Valuable communication to help collaborate across ZFSS and business teams, for easy day-to-day work.
