Interior Designer Roles & Responsibilities

- Develop concept designs, mood boards, and space planning layouts.
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings (plans, elevations, sections) and 3D models/renders.
- Talk to clients and understand their requirements, budget and design preferences.
- Create material palettes including laminates, veneers, finishes, lighting, fabrics and hardware.
- Prepare working drawings for execution (civil, electrical, plumbing, false ceiling, flooring, furniture and joinery details).
- Coordinate with vendors, and site engineers.
- Visit project sites if needed to monitor execution and ensure design compliance.
- Resolve site-related design issues and provide technical solutions.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), material specifications and estimates.
- Ensure projects are completed within budget, quality standards and timelines.
- Stay updated with the latest interior design trends, materials, products and technologies.

Maintain proper project documentation and client communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in residential and commercial interior projects (adjust based on your requirement).
- Proficient in:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- V-Ray / Enscape / Lumion
- 3ds Max
- Adobe Photoshop
- MS Office

- Strong knowledge of:

- Space planning
- Modular furniture
- Wardrobe and kitchen detailing
- False ceiling design
- Electrical and lighting layouts
- Material specifications and finishes




- Site execution and coordination

- Ability to interpret client requirements into practical design solutions.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation, budgeting and vendor coordination is preferred.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites (if required).
