The Lead Software Engineer at Bharti Airtel, based in Gurgaon, plays a critical role in developing and maintaining cutting-edge digital platforms for one of India's leading telecommunications providers. This position demands a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to drive the development of scalable and high-performance applications.

Description

- B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in software development with a proven track record of technical ownership.
- Proficiency in Java 8+ and solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Experience with caching systems like Redis/Aerospike and messaging systems like Solace & Kafka.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop,



and maintain scalable, high-performance applications and services using best engineering practices.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while participating in architecture discussions and system design decisions.
- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure smooth testing, deployment, and monitoring processes.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver features end-to-end, maintaining code quality through reviews.
- Contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and participate in agile ceremonies, ensuring effective collaboration across teams.
- Identify and implement technical improvements, optimize code for performance, and reduce technical debt.
- Ensure application security, stability, and reliability in production environments, being language and tech-stack agnostic.
- Explore and evaluate current technologies, sharing knowledge and insights with the team to foster continuous improvement.
