Fibre & Yarn Procurement Expertise in Textile

- Demonstrates Technical Knowledge of Yarn, Fabric & assessment of Vendors.
- Exhibits expertise in handling vendors for fulfilling obligations of better price and meeting timely delivery.

Procurement Operations & Purchase Cycle Management

- Demonstrates strong knowledge and experience of the procurement processes viz; demand determination, supplier selection, order monitoring and invoicing process besides the knowledge of manufacturing and Supply chain processes
- Handles procurement of all types of yarn qualities for suiting business
- Manages the process of L/C opening, Vendor follow-ups to achieve OTIF and providing feedback to vendors for Quality Improvement

Financial Acumen & Market Awareness

- Demonstrates overall understanding of the financial factors that influence procurement, and negotiates the right cost that meets the forecasted budget.
- Understands growing business & ensures timely procurement of material as per forecast and plan

Vendor Management

- Monitors vendor performance, analyzes vendor score cards, and ensures timely settlement of payment
- Suggests alternate sources (current vendors) ; ensures non-dependence on a single vendor for yarn that can often disrupt supplies, eliminates risks and optimizes cost, via screening and addition of vendors who offer a cost advantage.
- Follows-up with Vendors for timely delivery to meet OTIF and provides timely feedback to vendors for Quality Improvement

Statutory Compliance & Audit

- Ensures overall compliance of audit points,



SOP's and approval matrix
- Ensures materials acquisition and storage comply with company and government guidelines
- Assists for all customer audits and ensures closure of all action items in time.

Quality Standards & Controls

- Strives to improve quality ; ensures stringent adherence to material quality standards, norms & practices, identifies gaps, takes corrective action, devises action plans, creates statistical process control metrics and brings quality standards across all facilities in the organization

Negotiations and Cost Management

- Negotiates effectively with suppliers, and ensures the supply & balancing of five rights: right product, at the right price, right time, right location and right quantity.
- Finalizes Rate contracts with suppliers on basis of Price, Volumes, Complexity of business
- Performs Spend analysis & identifies ways to manage cost
- Demonstrates technical competency in negotiations, instead of traditional purchase and drives cost savings across sourcing

Analytical skills

- Uses capability of analytical skills to solve both complex and uncomplicated problems, that may hinder a successful procurement.

Risk Management

- Implements strategies that manages both every day and exceptional risks of procurement projects based on continuous risk assessments, with the objective of reducing vulnerability and ensuring a successful procurement project.

Digital Proficiency

- Demonstrates proficiency in SAP (especially the MM module)
- MS Office and documentation.
