We manufacture products and components across the automotive, agriculture, industrial hardware, gardening, power tools and pet products sectors.
Over the years, the Group has worked with prominent customers including Hero MotoCorp, TVS Motors, Honda, Sonalika Tractors, Walmart, Menards, Home Depot and other leading domestic and international organizations.
Today, we are a ₹35–40 crore multi-vertical manufacturing business entering our next phase of growth and professionalization.
We are looking for an experienced manufacturing leader who can help us build a more profitable, productive, accountable and professionally managed organization.
About the Role We are hiring a General Manager – Operations & P&L; to take end-to-end responsibility for our existing manufacturing business.
This is not a conventional Plant Head or Production Head position.
The successful candidate will operate as the business owner for day-to-day operations, with responsibility for plant performance, P&L;, EBITDA, sales execution, manufacturing cost, manpower productivity, quality, delivery and customer satisfaction.
All major operational functions and HODs will report into this position.
The objective is straightforward
Grow Revenue. Improve Productivity. Reduce Cost. Improve EBITDA. The GM will be expected to progressively run the existing business with a high degree of independence, allowing the promoters to focus primarily on new customers, new products, new markets, strategic sourcing and long-term growth initiatives.
This is consistent with the role structure we have designed internally: the position owns operations, customers, workforce, systems and cost, while promoter focus remains on new business, NPD and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities1. P&L;, EBITDA &
• Business Performance
- Take ownership of the operating P&L; and EBITDA performance of the manufacturing business.
- Monitor revenue, gross margin, manufacturing cost and profitability against monthly and annual targets.
- Drive EBITDA improvement through a combination of revenue growth, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
- Develop visibility into customer-wise and product-wise profitability.
- Identify loss-making products, customers, departments and processes and implement corrective action.
- Establish budgets, operating targets and a disciplined monthly business review process.
2. Manufacturing &
• Operational Excellence
- Take complete responsibility for production and execution across multiple manufacturing verticals.
- Ensure customer requirements are delivered on time,
in full and at the required quality.
- Improve machine utilization, capacity utilization, output per man-hour, cycle time and overall productivity.
- Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks, downtime and process inefficiencies.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Reduce rejection, rework, scrap and material wastage.

• Cost Control
- Own manpower planning across all departments and manufacturing divisions.
- Monitor headcount, salary cost, overtime, absenteeism and productivity department-wise.
- Establish measurable productivity benchmarks and determine optimum manpower requirements.
- Reduce unnecessary overtime and manpower costs without compromising output or customer delivery.
- Improve accountability and performance across both staff and shop-floor workforce.

Sales
Execution &
• Customer Management
- Monitor achievement against monthly and annual sales targets for the existing business.
- Ensure production, planning, quality and dispatch are aligned with customer schedules.
- Act as the senior operational interface for existing customers.
- Take ownership of delivery performance, quality issues, customer complaints and operational escalations.
- Ensure that business secured by the company is executed reliably and profitably.
5. Cost Reduction &
• Profitability Improvement Develop and execute a structured cost-reduction program across:
Labour | Overtime | Material Consumption | Scrap | Rejection | Rework | Power | Consumables | Maintenance | Inventory | Logistics | Manufacturing Overheads
Cost-saving initiatives must be measurable in rupee terms and ultimately visible in the company's financial performance.
We are looking for someone who continuously asks:
Where are we losing money? Why? And what are we going to do about it?
- People Leadership & Accountability
- Lead major operational functions including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Stores, Dispatch, HR/Admin and other plant departments.
- Establish clear KPIs for every HOD and key team member.
- Conduct structured performance reviews and hold departments accountable for results.
- Build and mentor a strong second line of leadership.
- Create a culture of ownership, discipline, transparency and measurable performance.
7. Systems, MIS & Management Reviews
- Establish a disciplined management review system based on reliable data and clearly defined KPIs.
- Develop dashboards covering:
Sales | EBITDA | Manufacturing Cost | Manpower Cost | Overtime | Production | Productivity | Quality | Inventory | OTIF | Customer Performance | Cost Savings
- Conduct structured daily, weekly and monthly reviews.
- Strengthen SOPs, systems, process controls and digitization across the organization.
- Ensure management receives clear visibility into business performance and exceptions requiring intervention.
Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a commercially minded manufacturing leader — not simply a production specialist.
The ideal candidate should have approximately 12–18+ years of manufacturing experience, including significant leadership experience as a Plant Head, GM Operations, Business Head, Operations Head or equivalent senior manufacturing role.
Candidates should demonstrate
- Strong understanding of P&L;, EBITDA and manufacturing economics
- Proven track record of cost reduction and profitability improvement
- Strong manufacturing and operations-management capability
- Experience managing large blue-collar and white-collar teams
- Experience managing multiple manufacturing processes or product lines
- Strong manpower planning and productivity-management skills
- Experience implementing KPIs, MIS, SOPs and management review systems
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and/or Six Sigma
- Solid analytical and problem-solving ability
- Experience interacting directly with OEM/B2B customers
- Strong leadership and people-management capability
- Ability to operate independently with minimal day-to-day promoter involvement
A B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline is preferred. MBA, Lean/Six Sigma certification or equivalent management exposure would be an advantage.
Experience in automotive components, engineering products, metal fabrication or multi-process manufacturing would be particularly relevant.
