Job Title: Global IT Vendor Manager
YOE: 14+ yrs
Location: Bangalore, India
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Global Vendor Manager to drive strategic vendor governance and maximize value across our global technology supplier ecosystem. In this role, you will manage vendor relationships, ensure service excellence, oversee commercial and contractual performance, and partner with internal stakeholders to deliver cost optimization, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end vendor lifecycle including onboarding, governance, contract renewals, and offboarding.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with strategic technology vendors and service providers.
- Lead regular vendor governance meetings to review service performance, risks, financials, and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor vendor budgets, forecasts, invoices, rate cards, and commercial commitments to ensure value for money.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, information security standards, and internal governance policies.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, service improvement, innovation, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with Procurement, Finance, Legal, Security, and Technology teams to support sourcing, contract management, and vendor performance.
- Manage vendor-related risks, support audits, and drive service quality, operational resilience, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and track vendor KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics, providing actionable insights to business stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience in Vendor Management, IT Service Management, Service Delivery, Supplier Governance, Procurement, or Technology Operations.
- Strong understanding of managed services, outsourcing models, vendor lifecycle management, and commercial contracts.
- Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, vendor performance, and service governance.
- Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM frameworks; exposure to COBIT is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional, and multi-vendor environment.
Preferred Certifications
- ITIL Foundation or Managing Professional
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Certification
- COBIT Foundation
- CIPS, CPSM, or other Supplier Management certifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt
