Role Description The Geospatial Fresher role is a full-time, on-site position based at DSM Soft’s production facility in Tiruchirappalli. Day-to-day responsibilities include working with geospatial datasets, supporting map creation and data conversion projects, and assisting in quality checks under the guidance of senior team members. The role involves using GIS and related tools to process spatial data, update project documentation, and adhere to established workflows and timelines.

Fresher will collaborate with project leads and peers, follow defined standards and procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement in geospatial production processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of geospatial concepts, such as maps, coordinate systems, and spatial data structures.
- Candidates should possess basic skills in GIS software usage (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar tools) and be comfortable working with digital spatial data.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and quality checks.
- Candidates should possess positive computer proficiency, including MS Office tools, and the ability to learn new geospatial and production software quickly.
- Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based production environment.
- Candidates should possess a relevant academic background, such as a degree or diploma in Geoinformatics, Geography, Geology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
