Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Generative AI Engineer at The Agentic Loop. The Generative AI Engineer will design, build, and iterate on agentic and generative AI systems, including prototypes and production-ready features that align with the publication’s educational and product initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching new models and tools, implementing and evaluating LLM-based agents, integrating APIs and data sources, and optimizing systems for reliability, performance, and safety.

The role involves close collaboration with editorial and program teams to create technical demos, reproducible examples,



and teaching materials that help learners go from understanding concepts to building real systems. The engineer will also contribute to internal tooling, documentation, and best practices that support experimentation and continuous learning across the organization. Qualifications

Strong skills in software engineering and programming (e.g., Python, backend development, APIs) that enable designing, implementing, and maintaining AI-powered systems.

Experience with up-to-date generative AI tools and frameworks (e.g., large language models, agent frameworks, vector databases) and the ability to evaluate and integrate them into practical solutions.

Applied machine learning or data science skills, including working with model inference, evaluation, prompt design, and experiment tracking.

Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, practical explanations, examples, and documentation for diverse audiences.

Comfort working in a remote, highly collaborative environment, including strong communication, autonomy, and time management skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in building AI or software products.

Experience shipping production systems, developer tools, or educational content related to AI is beneficial.

Interest in agentic AI, learning design, and helping others progress from curiosity to building with generative AI is highly valued.
