Role Description The General Manager – Fitout is a full-time, in office role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing end-to-end commercial fitout projects. This role includes managing project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.

The General

Manager will lead cross-functional teams in design, engineering, procurement, and project management, coordinate closely with clients and stakeholders, and resolve operational challenges on site. Day-to-day tasks involve reviewing designs and BOQs, monitoring contractor performance, optimizing resources, managing risks,



and driving continuous improvement in processes and project outcomes. The role also includes contributing to business development activities, supporting proposals, and maintaining strong client relationships to enable repeat and referral business.

Qualifications

Strong experience in commercial fitout, interiors, or construction project management, with the ability to oversee multiple projects from concept to handover.

Proficiency in design and technical coordination, including reading drawings, BOQs, and specifications, and collaborating with design, architecture, and engineering teams.

Demonstrated skills in budgeting, cost control, and commercial negotiation with contractors, vendors, and service providers.

Capability in site operations, resource planning, and risk management, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely execution.

Effective stakeholder management and communication skills for working with clients, internal teams, and external partners.

Leadership experience managing cross-functional project teams and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance.

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field; advanced certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.

Comfort working with project management and collaboration tools, along with strong documentation and reporting skills.
