Position Summary

Lead the Future of Power Electronics at EOS Power (Bel India)

The General Manager/Head Engineering/Senior level suitable leadership position Power Electronics leads a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the design, development, and support of power electronic products, including AC/DC and DC/DC converters, power supplies, and related components. This role ensures technical excellence, drives innovation, and supports manufacturing and quality objectives to meet customer and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the power electronics engineering team, including recruitment, mentoring, and performance management.
- Oversee the design, development, and validation of power electronic products, ensuring compliance with industry standards (UL, IEC, RoHS, etc.) and customer specifications.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and product management to ensure seamless product development and launch.
- Work closely with Global engineering team to learn and implement best engineering tools and practices
- Drive technical innovation in power conversion, efficiency, thermal management, and miniaturization.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and resource allocation to meet milestones and deliverables.
- Ensure robust design practices using simulation, modeling, and prototyping (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB, Altium Designer).
- Support root cause analysis and resolution of technical issues in production and field returns.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, standards, and competitive landscape in power electronics.




- Prepare technical documentation including design specifications, test plans, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with customers and sales teams to define requirements and provide technical support for business development.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives in design processes, reliability, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

- Bachelors or masters degree in Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.
- 20+ years of experience in power electronics design and development, with at least 10 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven track record in developing power supplies, converters, or related products for industrial, medical, automotive, or telecom applications.
- Expertise in analog and digital circuit design, magnetics, thermal management, and EMC/EMI compliance.
- Proficient in design and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB, Altium, CAD).
- Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and product certification (UL, IEC, CE, etc.).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies (SMT, through-hole, testing).
- Six Sigma, PMP, or similar certification is a plus.
