Key Responsibilities Data Architecture & Design

- Design and architect end-to-end data solutions on GCP including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time streaming architectures.
- Create comprehensive technical architecture documentation, data flow diagrams, and system integration designs.
- Define data modeling strategies including dimensional modeling, and modern data warehouse patterns.
- Establish architectural standards, design patterns,



and best practices for data ingestion, processing, and consumption.
- Conduct architectural reviews and provide technical guidance on complex data engineering projects.

GCP Data Platform Development

- Implement sophisticated data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataform, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer.
- Build real-time and batch processing solutions using Apache airflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Dataproc.
- Develop data transformation logic using SQL, Python, Dataform and Dataflow.
- Create automated data quality monitoring and validation frameworks.
- Optimize query performance, cost management, and resource utilization across GCP services.
- Implement data security, governance, and compliance frameworks.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior data engineers and provide architectural guidance to development teams.
- Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and solution architecture sessions.
- Evaluate emerging GCP services and data technologies for potential adoption.
- Partner with DevOps and platform engineering teams on infrastructure automation and deployment strategies.

Required Qualifications Technical Skills

- 10+ years of overall data engineering and architecture experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in:
- Programming: Python, SQL and other programming languages.
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager
- DevOps Tools: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes (GKE)
- Strong understanding of data architecture patterns, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with data modeling tools and methodologies (dimensional modeling, data vault, 3NF)





Architecture & Design Skills

- Proven experience designing large-scale, distributed data systems and architectures.
- Strong understanding of system design principles, scalability patterns, and performance optimization.
- Experience with enterprise data governance, data cataloging, and metadata management.
- Experience with cost optimization strategies and resource management in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Additional GCP certifications (Professional Cloud Architect)
- Experience with modern data stack tools (dbt, Looker, Dataform)
- Knowledge of streaming architectures and event-driven systems.
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud data architectures.
- Background in Manufacturing, supply chain or other related industries.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
- Familiarity with data mesh and domain-driven data architecture concepts.
