Role & responsibilities

- Develop furniture design concepts, mood boards, and detailed drawings for live commercial and residential projects.

- Prepare 2D working drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools.

- Assist in material selection, finishes, hardware specification, and joinery detailing.

- Coordinate with the factory and production team on prototypes, samples, and quality checks.

- Support BOQ preparation, costing inputs, and vendor coordination for furniture packages.

- Conduct site visits and assist with measurements, installation supervision, and snag resolution.

- Research market trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques to bring fresh ideas to the studio.

Preferred candidate profile

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp (mandatory); knowledge of 3ds Max, V-Ray, Enscape, or SolidWorks is an advantage.

- Strong sketching ability and understanding of furniture proportions, ergonomics, and materials.

- Basic knowledge of wood, metal, laminates, veneers, upholstery, and hardware.

- Good communication skills and willingness to work in office and at the factory when required.

- A portfolio of academic or personal furniture/product design work (must be submitted with application).
