Software Development Engineer II / Full Stack Developer

Job Overview :

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) who can independently design, build, and deliver well-structured software components while collaborating closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has solid hands-on experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to take ownership of features from requirement to release. This role goes beyond execution - SDE II engineers are expected to think in terms of quality, scalability, and maintainability, contribute actively to design discussions, and mentor junior engineers where required.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain features/modules across products and client solutions.
- Take ownership of assigned components from requirement understanding to deployment.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code following engineering standards.
- Participate actively in design discussions and propose technical solutions.
- Review code written by peers and provide constructive feedback.
- Debug complex issues and contribute to performance optimisation.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend/frontend components.
- Ensure adequate unit and integration test coverage for owned modules.
- Collaborate closely with QA, Product, and Design teams to deliver high-quality releases.
- Support junior engineers through guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with recent technologies, frameworks,



and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree (BE/BTech/MCA) in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with OOP concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proficiency in at least one front-end framework (Angular / React / Vue).
- Strong back-end development experience (Node.js / .NET Core / Java / Python).
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL / SQL Server) and basic schema design.
- Proficiency with Git and standard version control workflows.
- Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile practices.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Clear communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or containerisation.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.
- Understanding of design patterns and scalable system design.
- Experience working in client-facing delivery environments.
- Interest in mentoring junior engineers or taking on technical ownership roles.
