About the Role

We are seeking PhD-qualified Linguistics experts to join an AI project as Freelance Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). In this role, you will contribute to the development of next-generation Large Language Models (LLMs) by designing, reviewing, and refining high-quality prompts and evaluating AI-generated responses.

Key Responsibilities

- Create linguistically accurate and challenging prompts for AI models.
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for grammatical correctness, linguistic accuracy, coherence, and reasoning.
- Apply expertise in syntax, semantics, pragmatics, morphology, phonology, discourse analysis, and related linguistic disciplines.
- Provide detailed feedback to improve AI model performance.
- Collaborate with project teams while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Follow project guidelines and meet established deadlines.

Required Qualifications

- PhD in Linguistics or a closely related field.




- Minimum 2 years of post-PhD academic, research, or industry experience.
- Strong understanding of theoretical and applied linguistics.
- Experience in research, academic writing, or scientific publications.
- Excellent written English and analytical skills.
- Ability to critically evaluate language and complex linguistic concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with prompt writing, AI model evaluation, data annotation, or NLP projects.
- Teaching experience at the university level.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, or computational linguistics.
