Job Summary

As a Software Engineer - MEAN in the Workflow Innovation team, you will contribute to the design and development of data-driven and AI-enabled product capabilities for Barco Control Rooms. You will work closely with product owners, architects, developers, and validation teams across locations to build scalable, reliable, and high-quality software that helps transform workflows and deliver meaningful customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with developers, product owners, system architects, and validation teams across locations to design and implement data and AI product capabilities.
- Lead and contribute to the design and development of scalable full-stack components, APIs, and services using MEAN technologies and Python where relevant.
- Work on AI-first product features that leverage data, automation, and intelligent workflows to improve control room operations.
- Apply best practices in code quality, security, performance, maintainability, and software development.
- Work with cross-functional teams across groups, geographies, and time zones to deliver high-quality product increments.
- Ensure timely delivery of reliable, well-tested, and production-ready releases.
- Guide and mentor fellow colleagues, while actively contributing to technical discussions and engineering excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

- B. Tech. /B. E. /M. E. /M. Tech. in Computer Science/Electronics Engineering

Experience





- 3-6 years of enriched full-stack development experience with strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, and Python.
- Experience in building scalable, data-driven product capabilities using modern full-stack technologies.
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, with a good understanding of data modelling, data access patterns, and performance considerations.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting reusable, maintainable APIs and services.
- Exposure to AI-enabled product development, intelligent workflows, automation, or data-driven decision support systems is preferred and practical experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and the Hugging Face ecosystem is a plus.
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization using Docker.
- Good experience with test-driven development, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Experience working with source code control tools like GitHub.
- Good experience in leading technical tracks in product development.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP is good to have.
- Robust problem-solving skills with the ability to work on ambiguous, innovation-led product areas.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, groups, and geographies.
