Role & Responsibilities
1. Lead the Manufacturing Engineering function to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency across the plant.
2. Develop, standardize, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production methodologies.
3. Drive Recent Product Introduction (NPI), process validation, pilot builds, and production readiness for new models.
4. Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, and OEE improvement initiatives to reduce waste and optimize manufacturing costs.
5. Identify and resolve manufacturing, process, and production-related issues through structured problem-solving and CAPA implementation.
6. Plan and execute automation, digital manufacturing, equipment installation, and manufacturing technology enhancement projects.
7. Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Design, and Vendor teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
8. Ensure compliance with quality systems, manufacturing standards, EHS regulations, and support internal/external audits.
9. Manage manufacturing engineering budgets, project timelines, resource allocation, and CAPEX initiatives to achieve business objectives.
10. Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Preferred Candidate Profile
1. Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
2.
18 to 25 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering within the Automotive, Construction Equipment, Commercial Vehicle, or Heavy Engineering industry.
3. Proven experience in leading Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or Plant Engineering functions at a leadership level.
4. Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, Industrial Engineering, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
5. Hands-on experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, process validation, and production ramp-up activities.
6. Experience in automation projects, Industry 4.0, digital manufacturing, equipment selection, commissioning, and manufacturing technology implementation.
7. Strong knowledge of production systems, line balancing, cycle time optimization, OEE improvement, and manufacturing cost reduction.
8. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills with experience in managing large engineering teams.
9. Sound understanding of ISO/IATF standards, EHS compliance, quality systems, and manufacturing audits.
10. Demonstrated ability to lead strategic manufacturing initiatives, drive operational excellence, and deliver sustainable business improvements.
