About The Role We are seeking an experienced Fraud Analyst to join our energetic team in Bangalore or Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in fraud detection, investigations, and risk management. This role requires a proactive individual capable of analyzing complex financial transactions, identifying suspicious activities, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.

The Fraud

Analyst will play a crucial part in safeguarding the company's financial assets by conducting thorough investigations, performing detailed reviews, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to prevent fraud losses.

The position offers flexible shift timings, either from 07:00 AM to 04:00 PM or 06:00 PM to 03:00 AM, depending on operational requirements. Immediate notice period candidates are preferred. Experience in chargebacks and claims processing is a plus, adding value to our fraud prevention initiatives. The role demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.




- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fraud detection, investigations, or risk management.
- Proficiency in analyzing financial transactions and account activities.
- Experience with fraud types such as Account Takeover (ATO), Payment Transaction Offenses (PTO), Identity Theft, First Party Frauds, and related areas.
- Knowledge of chargebacks, claims processing, and related financial procedures is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal teams and external agencies.
- Ability to work in flexible shifts and adapt to changing priorities.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to investigations.

Responsibilities

- Analyze financial transactions and account activities to identify unusual or suspicious patterns indicative of fraudulent activity.
- Conduct in-depth investigations into potential fraud cases, gathering and documenting evidence to support findings.
- Perform comprehensive 360-degree reviews on alerts triggered by system thresholds for various fraud types, including account takeover, account opening frauds, and identity theft.
- Detect and mitigate fraud across core banking, payments, and account management systems, including P2P payments, ACH kiting, check kiting, and wire fraud.
- Investigate whistleblower complaints related to account hijacking,



transactional frauds, and unauthorized funds transfers, providing real-time decision-making support on credit card, loan, and digital payment frauds like Zelle.
- Combine retroactive and real-time fraud analysis to develop and enhance fraud detection frameworks, leveraging technology and process improvements.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to perform end-to-end alert reviews, from initial detection to SAR (Suspicious Activity Report) filing.
- Analyze data trends and outlier activities to determine the appropriate course of action, including case closure, reimbursements, or escalation.
- Adjudicate various fraud types and apply appropriate mitigation measures based on established policies and procedures.
