About Recollia Recollia is a mobile-first medical education platform built for India's NEET PG aspirants and early-career doctors. We combine AI-powered tutoring, clinical case simulation, and structured courses with a voice-first, multilingual experience — because studying for one of the hardest exams in the country shouldn't also mean fighting with clunky tools or a language barrier. We're a small, fast-moving team building tools we'd have wanted ourselves as students.

Role Description We are looking for a Remote Cybersecurity & AI Defense Engineer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the founder and report directly to him. You will focus on securing our clinical LLM platform against direct and indirect prompt injections, jailbreaks, data exfiltration, and adversarial attacks.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong cybersecurity fundamentals, a deep understanding of LLM vulnerabilities, and a passion for building robust threat detection systems.

Responsibilities Design and deploy input/output sanitization pipelines to defend against prompt injection and jailbreak attacks.

Audit, test, and red-team agentic AI workflows and RAG pipelines to identify security loopholes and logic flaws.

Implement security guardrails, rate-limiting, and access control policies for LLM endpoints and external tools.

Monitor execution traces for suspicious activities, adversarial behaviors, and potential data leaks.

Collaborate remotely with the ML and backend teams to integrate proactive security defenses directly into the product lifecycle.

Qualifications Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, or Circuital Branches.

Security Fundamentals: Strong grasp of application security, OWASP top 10 for LLMs, threat modeling, and web vulnerabilities.

LLM Security Knowledge: Understanding of prompt injection techniques, jailbreaks, indirect injections, and adversarial robustness.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, Linux, networking fundamentals, Git, and security testing tools.

Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on attack-surface minimization and defensive engineering.

Communication & Collaboration: Able to work effectively in a remote team setting, communicate technical ideas clearly, and document vulnerabilities systematically.

Availability: This is a full-time remote internship commitment. Candidates must be able to secure approval from their college/university for a full-time internship — please confirm this with your institution before applying. If you think you are a valuable fit for this role, please send your resume to [email protected] along with a brief introduction about yourself, why you are a good fit, and a description of something impactful you have built or researched in cybersecurity or AI defense.

Please note: only candidates whose college has approved them for a full-time internship commitment will be considered. (Stipend - 20,000 inr/month)
