About the Role

As a Founding Engineer, you will play a critical role in building an AI-powered engineering platform from the ground up. You will work at the intersection of embedded systems, firmware, AI, and robotics, validating AI models on real hardware while collaborating closely with AI/ML, platform, and hardware teams.

This is a highly hands-on 0→1 role, ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex hardware and software challenges, building scalable engineering platforms, and leading technical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Validate AI coding models on real embedded boards and robotics/UAV platforms.
- Bring up and verify hardware across STMicroelectronics, NXP, and similar MCU/MPU platforms.
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to improve AI models using real firmware engineering workflows.
- Prepare and curate training datasets from firmware codebases, datasheets, schematics, and system artifacts.
- Develop AI agents for firmware development, debugging, build automation, and robotics engineering workflows.
- Execute firmware workloads and system validation on physical hardware.
- Work with hardware partners and internal engineering teams to validate SoC performance.




- Support customer POCs by deploying AI models on physical systems and validating engineering use cases.
- Define engineering best practices for AI-assisted firmware development and system validation.
- Mentor and lead a team of embedded and firmware engineers.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in Embedded Firmware Development.
- Strong experience in Embedded Firmware development using C/C++, RTOS, and Embedded Linux.
- Hands-on experience with STMicroelectronics, NXP, or similar MCU/MPU platforms.
- Experience in robotics, UAV, or real-time embedded systems.
- Expertise in board bring-up, BSP development, device drivers, and hardware validation.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and system-level analysis skills.
- Experience collaborating across embedded, hardware, and AI/ML teams.
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.

Good to Have

- Experience with ROS, PX4, or robotics middleware.
- Exposure to Edge AI pipelines or AI model evaluation workflows.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools or developer automation.
- Experience in avionics, automotive, or defence firmware environments.
- Previous startup or Founding Engineer experience.
