Role & responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

- Lead end-to-end execution of Greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Develop detailed project schedules, milestones, budgets, and execution strategies.
- Ensure projects are completed within approved timelines and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and resolve execution bottlenecks proactively.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports for management.

Engineering & Technical Coordination

- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, and Production teams.
- Review engineering drawings, layouts, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Supervise installation, commissioning, and performance testing of plant equipment.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.

Vendor & Contractor Management

- Identify and evaluate contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Manage tendering, techno-commercial evaluations, and contract execution.
- Monitor contractor productivity, quality, billing, and resource deployment.
- Ensure timely delivery of equipment and project materials.

Cost & Budget Control

- Prepare CAPEX budgets and monitor project expenditures.
- Control project costs through effective planning and procurement.
- Verify contractor bills and recommend payments.
- Maintain strict control over project budgets and resource utilization.

Safety & Compliance





- Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and industrial safety standards.
- Implement HSE policies throughout project execution.
- Coordinate approvals with government departments and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental norms and quality standards.

Project Monitoring & Reporting

- Track project progress using MS Project or Primavera.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly project review meetings.
- Maintain project documentation, DPRs, MIS, risk registers, and progress dashboards.
- Report project status, risks, delays, and mitigation plans to senior management.

Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with Purchase, Stores, Finance, Production, and Maintenance, HR, and Administration teams.
- Coordinate with consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, and government authorities.

Resolve interdepartmental issues affecting project execution.

Preferred candidate profile

- 1015 years of project management experience in Ferro Alloys, Steel, Mining, Power Plant, Metals, Cement, or Heavy Engineering industries.
- Proven experience in plant expansion, equipment installation, commissioning, and infrastructure development.
- Experience handling projects valued at 25 Crores or above will be preferred. Industry employers typically seek experience in large CAPEX execution, multidisciplinary coordination, and cost control for such roles.
